Synopsis: Lex Luthor, facing a worsening illness, prepares for his imminent death. Meanwhile, Clark Kent and Lois Lane are interrupted by a fire at the Bakerline Brewery, with Superman saving the day. Later, Luthor attempts a world-record flight but ejects his co-pilot, and his plane is later seen crashing in the Andes mountains. Superman speeds to the scene, discovering what appear to be Luthor's remains among the wreckage. Superman returns to Metropolis where news of Luthor's death spreads.
